Lagos state government says it has begun works to connect Agric area of Ikorodu to Lagos-Ibadan Expressway through Arepo area, Ogun state.
The Commissioner for Commerce, Industries and Cooperatives, Rotimi Ogunleye, who was representing the the state governor Akinwunmi Ambode, revealed this on Tuesday at a stakeholders’ meeting in Ikorodu, according to Punch.
“The Agric-Isawo-Konu-Arepo Road will have a link bridge that will connect the state to the Ogun State boundary, which will link the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway,” he said.
The Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Temidayo Erinle, said the road will span a total length of seven kilometers, with 10 lay-bys and bus stops, streetlights, and drains to control storm water.
Hitech Nigeria Limited, the contractor handling the project, added that the project would include four pedestrian bridges at strategic locations.
