President Buhari has flown out of Nigeria to London this evening for a ‘medical follow-up’. He was, in fact, supposed to travel this afternoon but had to wait to meet with the just-released Chibok girls.
It’s no doubt President Buhari’s health has been a matter of debate for a while, but this sudden trip is coming as a surprise to many.
Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina stated the President had transmitted a letter to the National Assembly as required by law. We do not know if this letter was approved before he traveled or not.

The duration of Buhari’s stay in London is uncertain at the moment and will be determined by his doctors, according to Adesina.
The suddeness of the trip became a cause for concern, but the president sent out a tweet saying there was ‘no cause for worry’
I'd like to assure all Nigerians that there is no cause for worry. I appreciate your prayers & kind wishes.May God continue to bless Nigeria
