After our own President went MIA all of a sudden, news had it today that that President Buhari is facing series of health challenges and that’s what caused his absence all this while.
In a report from SaharaReporters today, they said three medical doctors (two males and one female) all British and Caucasian arrived the Presidential Villa today to attend to the health issues of President Muhammadu Buhari.
His situation has really gotten worse. According to SaharaReporters, he’s suffering from Crohn’s Disease, an intestinal disorder, prostate issues, age-related disorders and also early-stage dementia.
The President was also moved to a safe house that was set up by the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and is currently being attended to by foreign doctors.
Some sources sighted the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, moving lots of documents out of the Presidential villa but they had no idea why he had to move documents out of the villa and where he also took them to.
President Buhari has been scheduled to travel on May 10 initially on a medical trip to Britain, but the arrival of the foreign medical team shows he might not be embarking on the journey as some secret political factions have denied him access to embark on such journey. They probably initiated this for fear that his absence might cost them political influence.
Matters arising in Nigeria now is about the secretiveness around Mr. Buhari’s condition. It corroborates with what happened during President Umaru Yar’Adua reign. While he remained unconscious in his hospital bed before he died, the First Lady Turai Yar’Adua insisted that he was actually fit and could run the affairs of Nigeria remotely from his hospital bed.
Another analyst also said that this rule from a safe house looks quite similar to the case of former Governor Danbaba Suntai of Taraba State. If you remember clearly, he sustained critical physical and mental injuries from a plane crash and spent a long time in German and US hospitals battling extensive brain damage. Some secret political factions led by General Theophilus Danjuma (rtd) still kept him in office despite his condition, saying he was fit enough to run Taraba State from distant locations.
We pray President Buhari responds to treatment and we also wish him a speedy recovery.
