Okay, When it comes to internet connection speed, the worldwide country ranker has ranked Nigeria 95 out of 189 countries under surveillance. The ranker based it parameters on the speed of downloading a HD movie of up to 7.5GB and the mean speed of download.

The mean speed of download for Nigeria was placed as 3.15MBps on 4G. So on average, it will take 5 hours, 25 minutes and 27 seconds to download a HD movie of 7.5GB. Other African countries on the list were Kenya, Morocco, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ghana, Liberia, Uganda, Rwanda, Tazania, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Togo, Cote D’Ivoire, Egypt, Senegal, among others.

Kenya, Morocco, South Africa ranked top before Nigeria while the others ranked below Nigeria. It is surprising that The United States of America which is probably expected to appear tops ranked 21 and Singapore ranked first on the list with a mean downloading speed of 55.13MBps and took 18 minutes 34 seconds to download a HD movie of 7.5GB.

National telcos here should therefore endeavor to improve their output so as to ensure adequate productivity to remain on par with the rest of the average world territories.
